70th Birthday cake - 13th June

I made a vanilla sponge traybake cake which I topped with a glaze of raspberry jam followed by a sheet of fondant icing and I then finished the cake with a selection of sugarpaste decorations made using Lissie Lou stamps and other filler flowers and garden themed items. The decoration was bordered with vanilla buttercream rosettes which were topped with green and gold chocoballs. The sponge tasted beautiful and was enjoyed by all the gardening volunteers sitting in the sun drinking tea yesterday morning as we wished Barbara a happy birthday. Happy days .....................
