I organised a coffee morning to support the Alzheimer's Society on Thursday 27th June at St Peter's Church Hall, Woodmansterne. We have a strong team of volunteers who organise stalls, provide refreshments and generally help-out when organising a Charity fundraiser. One Wednesday 26th June we decorated the Hall with balloons, coloured tablecloths and fan decorations to given an overwhelming blue hue to the space. Some of the volunteers also set up stalls, Greeting Cards, Pre-loved Jewellery, Bring and Buy and Gift bags. I had made cakes to go with the tea/coffee and biscuits/cookies and rock cakes to sell I also decorated my stall with an Emotional Support Chicken and a Twiddle-Muff - both knitted with the blue Alzheimer's colours very much in mind.

I made a coffee cake - again decorated with blue flowers to pick-up on the Alzheimer's Society colours, a lemon polenta loaf and a fruit cake to go with the tea/coffee.

We had a very successful morning, the Hall was full with people new and more familiar and we have so far raised nearly £470. So a huge thank you to everybody who came along and donated their money as well as those who donated their time.
