I decided to enter a few of the classes in the Autumn Show at my local Horticultural Society, including some of my houseplants (an orchid and a pink lily anthurium) and some baked items as well (decorated cupcakes, an iced ginger cake and apricot brandy slices). After setting up all my exhibits Saturday morning before the judging I went back to the Community Hall in Banstead later in the afternoon and was so happy to see that I had done really well, 3 x 1st prizes which included a blue ribbon for an exceptional exhibit for my decorated cupcakes and 2 x 2nd prize places as well. My afternoon was completed with a shift in the Tea Room and collecting a Certificate at the prize giving at the end of the day.

There are only 2 cakes here because the judge had to cut into the 3rd to test it.
