Baking for The Children's Society - Thursday 26th October

We had a busy morning raising money for The Children's Society. I had made two cakes, a decorated White chocolate and freeze dried raspberry sponge (Mary Berry's recipe) and a fruit cake for those who like something different. As usual we had decorated St Peter's Church Hall with a Christmas theme (a bit too early for my liking) and lined around the Hall were a number of stalls selling items that could be used for Christmas gifts. We also had a raffle. The Hall seemed to be filled with people both regular visitors and some new. Another successful charity fundraiser, the last for the year.
