Christmas cupcakes for The Coffee House, Tadworth - Tuesday 10th December

Final bake of the year for The Coffee House, 24 Christmas themed cupcakes. I made 12 vanilla and 12 chocolate cupcakes. The vanilla cupcakes were filled with Merry Berry Cherry conserve from M&S and topped with vanilla buttercream and a sugarpaste topper. I used patchwork cutters, moulds and plunge cutters to make a variety of Christmas themed toppers which I painted for further detail and then gave a spritz of glitter spray for that festive feel. The chocolate cupcakes were also filled with Merry Berry Cherry conserve, 6 were decorated with a green coloured buttercream swirl topped with a large star and then coloured chocoballs and gold stars to look like a Christmas tree. The final six were decorated to look like a snowglobe, they were covered vanilla buttercream which was dipped into white sprinkles. I added Xmas trees, snowmen and parcels and then finished with a half acrylic globe. Very pleased with both batches of cakes.
