So a bit of baking and a bit of crafting (or more precisely knitting) involved for this event. I made a batch of mini cupcakes decorated with Christmas themed toppers which I made using a variety of cutters and moulds painted with glitter dust, rejuvenator spirit and cocoa butter (my new favourite decorating technique). I also made a fruit loaf cake with a demerara sugar top which gives a lovely crunchy texture when baked. So the knitting element was that my partner, Ray, who is one of the RBL team organizing the Veterans Hub needed a Christmas jumper, so I decorated a M&S knitted jumper he had with a knitted square showing a Christmas pudding on a plate, complete with holly, sparkly berries and small black buttons for currants - it was every effective and he received many compliments.
