Easter Cupcakes for The Coffee House, Tadworth - Wednesday, 27th March

What fun I had creating some Spring and 'Chick' themed cupcake toppers for the cupcakes that were delivered to The Coffee House in Tadworth this morning. I baked a batch of chocolate fudge cupcakes, added Bonne Mamman Chocolate Hazelnut spread to the centre once the cakes had cooled and then finished the cakes with a swirl of chocolate buttercream and an Easter Chick themed sugarpaste topper. For my second Easter bake for The Coffee House I used a Primrose Bakery recipe that I love, carrot cake cupcakes, once baked I brushed the top of the cakes with an orange syrup glaze (orange juice and sugar boiled together and then allowed to cool) which moistens the cake and then finished the cakes with cream cheese flavoured buttercream using a flavoured icing sugar from Sugar and Crumbs. This batch of cupcakes were decorated with Spring flower sugarpaste toppers. The cakes looked really colourful, very pleased with the finished effect.
