Halloween cupcakes for The Coffee House - Monday 30th October

I baked two varieties of cupcakes to take to The Coffee House for Halloween. I made a batch of 12 chocolate fudge cupcakes which I decorated with a variety of sugarpaste toppers for 9 of the dozen cupcakes and for the remaining 3 of the dozen I used an orange and chocolate coloured buttercream swirl which was decorated with chocolate dipped pretzels and peanuts, rice paper spiders web and spooky eyes. For the second batch of 12 cupcakes I used a toffee cake recipe which I stirred through with apple sauce. Once baked I put a centre of toffee apple spread made by Bonne Maman and used a salted toffee buttercream. I decorated 9 of the 12 cupcakes with sugarpaste toppers and the remaining three had a zombie chocolate eye added - from M&S - surrounded with coloured sprinkles. Really pleased with both batches of cakes.
