Macmillan coffee morning, 25th September, St Peter's Church Hall

I have had a busy few days leading up to the coffee morning yesterday preparing the cakes and cookies for the stall that I was running at the Macmillan coffee morning. I baked, decorated and packaged the following - Sugar cookies, Rock cakes, Bakewell cookies, Gluten Free Orange, Polenta and Almond cake, Coffee traybake cake, Preserved Stem ginger cake, Vanilla cupcakes and Mini Chocolate orange loaf cakes. I managed to get everything finished by Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday evening a team of volunteers set up the Stalls and decorated the Church Hall with green and purple bunting and balloons.

I had done a lot of advertising on local social media as well as putting up posters and inviting people from the various groups that I have contacts with, this meant on Thursday morning the Hall was full. Our event was a great success and we have so far raised £695 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
