VE Day bake for the RBL Veterans Hub - 30th April 2025

With VE day coming up shortly the RBL Veterans Hub had a VE day themed meeting on 30th April and I volunteered to make them a cake to share. I used the basic Mary Berry vanilla sponge tray bake as the base, topped with a layer of raspberry jam and fondant icing. I then added decorations made from sugarpaste which I felt captured the theme perfectly and finished the cake with vanilla buttercream piped rosettes which I topped with red, white and blue chocoballs. It is fair to say that the Vets were very happy with my cake.
