Time again for the annual fundraiser for the Alzheimers society which involved plenty of baking, decorating and organisation. It was a hectic week from 16th - 19th June, but it turned out to be the most successful charity event that we have run so far so all the hard work paid off. I had a cake and cookie stall, providing 3 cakes to be served with teas and coffee to all the people who supported the event. I had also made a selection of cookies: raisin and oatmeal, vanilla sugar cookies decorated with blue sugar paste blossom toppers and choc chip cookies containing blue m&ms and smarties, and then drizzled with white choc and finished with blue glitter sugar and sprinkles. I also made rock cakes which always prove popular and mini cupcakes which were displayed in tiny decorated egg boxes.
