This was another Jane's Patisserie recipe and decoration idea that I wanted to use. I made a chocolate cupcake and once cooked and cooled I filled the cakes with chocolate orange spread (Bonne Maman). I then used some chocolate buttercream that I had leftover from decorating my Halloween cupcakes to pipe a swirl on top of the cakes. Next time I will actually stick to the decoration plan and make 3 colours of vanilla buttercream in red, orange and yellow and pipe on top of each other to represent the growing heat of the bonfire. The decorations for the cakes are orange matchmaker chocolates arranged like a wigwam on the buttercream to represent a bonfire and gold sprinkles. I added sugarpaste flames and then put the cakes in orange tulip cases. The cakes tasted super and they looked pretty good too.
