Macmillan coffee morning - 26th September, St Peter's Church Hall

I made this coffee traybake cake, decorated with coffee buttercream and decorated with sugar paste decorations, green and lilac sugar crystals, chocolate covered coffee beans and chocoballs.

Very happy with the cake, its a Mary Berry recipe which makes a lovely moist cake and I use it every year for the Macmillan coffee morning. For the buttercream I used 1 1/2 times the Jane's Patisserie coffee buttercream recipe, not too sweet, but with enough of a kick of coffee. The cake proved to be very popular.
